Greetings and welcome to Troop 281's little slice of the web!

We are a troop located in The Colony, TX which is a small suburb on the north side of Dallas. Our troop is very focused on giving the young men every chance we can so they can prosper and learn in the Boy Scout Program. We concentrate on the scout lead program in that the scouts create and maintain their own calendar with a little guidness and suggestions from their leaders. We have seen that in this model our boys grow confident in their abilities not only to learn and survive but also to lead. Most of our boys do reach Eagle Scout, but at their own pace. We also have a great group of Eagle alumi who were a part of our troop in the past. If you are intrested in joing our troop or would just like to drop by and meet some of the young men who are currently in our program we would love to meet you and your son.
